On Tuesday 9th February, people from across the UK will be participating in Safer Internet Day – a day aimed at increasing awareness of the importance of online safety.

This year will be themed around the idea: “Let’s create a better internet together.” We want young people to be aware of their friends’ safety online, and to use the internet as a way of helping out their friends.

In collaboration with Talking Taboos, YoungMinds is launching this video #MatesMatter, on how young people can support their friends online. It looks at the positive ways that the internet can help, as well as exploring the dangers that are out there.
