In this trip I backpack 67 miles on the Ice Age Trail from the Mondeaux Flowage to just past Grandfather Falls. The trip got off to a rough start, but wildlife, weather and solitude made it a fantastic trip.

The Ice Age Trail is a National Scenic Trail that runs a thousand miles through Wisconsin on a path that roughly follows the area where glaciers stopped at the end of the Wisconsin Glaciation period over 10,000 years ago. It is one of eleven National Scenic Trails in America.
