In this video, Dr. Syed Tahir walks us through the initial process of accessing the radial artery. This is the first step in a process that will lead to the placement of a coronary stent in the patient's artery. Prior to placing the stent, Dr. Tahir will use a balloon (angioplasty) to open a path for the stent. The balloon is also used to push the stent into place along the walls of the artery.
