Cycling The Loop in Tucson, Arizona

For this week’s episode of ‘Living In Tucson, buckle your seatbelts because we are going around The Loop in Tucson! Personally, I grew up in Tucson and I must say The Loop is one of the best projects the city has ever completed. 🚵 The Loop itself has grown and evolved for the past 10 years. It contains many small sections and stops for you to take a moment and marvel over. From scenic side views to lush mountainous landscapes, The Tucson Bike Loop really puts your proportionality into perspective. Trailing upon it really is an amazing experience. It's a no-brainer that biking around The Loop is one of the best things to do in Tucson! Join me as I ponder with you and cycle through this wondrous track of asphalt! Watch the full video! 💥🚴‍♂️

The Chuck Huckelberry Loop is a system of paved, shared-use paths and short segments of buffered bike lanes connecting the Cañada del Oro, Rillito, Santa Cruz, and Pantano River Parks with the Julian Wash and Harrison Road Greenway.

The Loop become “a real loop” in January 2018 when the County completed a connection on the south bank of the Rillito River Park between Glenn Street and Tanque Verde Road that connected the Rillito to the Pantano River Park. Connecting the Santa Cruz River Park with the Rillito, Pantano, Harrison Greenway and Julian Wash makes a complete circuit of 53.9 miles.
