The food you see in this video is one of the most affordable meals around, but how awesome that its also one of the MOST tasty?! I love when this happens, coincidentally this is also what could be called the country's 'National Dish," maybe not so hard to believe then that this was the only food available for lunch today... red lentil stew, potatoes, "Fasulye" beans, kebab meat over Pilav rice, all-you-can-eat white bread and salad, pickled chilis and red chili oil, rounded out with some bulgur fried in tomatoes and classic Turkish tea.

Among all the more fancy looking flame cooked meats and skewers, I will say that this meal is just as memorable to me. This is what people of all ages, all classes, all walks of life, THIS is the food of the Turkish people, and that's always gonna be my favorite when it comes to the things you remember when its finally time to go home.*

Welcome to another day of blue skies, long kms walking around Istanbul, rewards of new people to meet and new dishes to eat. This is a perfect example of our entire trip to Türkiye! Thank you so much for hanging out with Li and myself, we are very happy that it* is NOT time to go home yet :) we are just halfway through the trip!!
