STORYLINE
Hundreds of Israelis took part in an anti-war demonstration in Tel Aviv on Saturday evening - the end of the eleventh day of an Israeli offensive in Lebanon.
The crowd of banner-waving protesters marched in Rabin Square, chanting slogans and calling for peace.
"We want to stop it right now. This is the slogan of this demonstration," one peace activist said.
There were angry words and scuffles as several people, who supported their government's actions Lebanon, challenged the demonstrators.
One man had to be led away by some soldiers.
Another described the demonstration as "against Israel".
The death toll in Lebanon, as a result of Israel's offensive, rose to at least 372 on Saturday, the Lebanese authorities said.
On the Israeli side, 19 troops and 15 civilians have been killed.
An estimated 500-thousand Lebanese have been displaced from their homes, trying to flee the conflict.
