Preventure founder Scott Coleman discusses the new injury risks faced by people working from home on AusBizTV's Start-up Daily. These risks include;
1. Neck and back pain from slouching caused by the home office having incorrect set-up (ergonomics), and
2. Back pain from being in one position for too long (inactivity).
Scott explains how wearable tech can be used to identify and reduce injury risks by providing alerts when people are slouching, and when people have been in a sustained position for longer than the recommended time (40 minutes).
They also discuss Preventure's new Office Coach feature, which has been created to provide workers with alerts, prompting them to re-assess their position at the computer or stretch and move to reduce injury risk.
