We share a day by day diary of our first week after major surgery in hospital for our 4 year old son. Zach just had SDR (selective dorsal rhizotomy) surgery for his spasticity from his cerebral palsy (CP).
This video is not what we planned it to be, but decided after our first edit to re-edit to share from our parents perspective as was just too full on for Zach (and keep a lot of the footage out).
Surgery recovery is so full on for kids, and we wanted to make sure we dignify his story by not sharing too much. But we did want to share some of our journey to help other families or individuals on similar roads, and to continue to include our community in our story unfolding.
