Riding my 22.5 KTM 450 Factory Edition back to back with my buddy Scott's well dialed 2022 KTM 450SXF. My 450FE is stock except for WP Cone Valve spring forks. Scott's 22 450SXF has a Wiseco piston (stock CR), Vortex ECU mapped by Jamie at Twisted, full FMF exhaust, X-Trig triple clamps with PHDS bar mounts, and suspension done by Factory Connection with KYB inserts and coatings on the forks and re-valved shock. Back to back rides are a great way to feel the different characteristics between bikes. As I have said in previous rides the all new '23 model chassis does not obsolete the current chassis. The all new chassis has traded some of that super lightweight and quick steering for a more planted and weighty feel. The Wiseco piston, Vortex ignition, FMF exhaust, and race gas really livens up the stock '22 450SXF engine. The 22.5 450FE engine feels just has lively and fun completely stock running on pump fuel. Both bikes have spring forks that work great and provide a planted and connected to the ground feel with a plush feel on the little chop.
Always fun to ride different bikes back to back!
