Ramnavami is one of the very important festivals for Hindus. The day is celebrated to mark the birth of Lord Rama. On Sunday, the Ramnavami was celebrated across the country, but the celebrations were shadowed by the multiple incidents of violence. Communal clashes erupted in parts of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand and West Bengal on the occasion of Ram Navami. These clashes took place during processions taken out during Ram Navami celebrations. Following the violence, restrictions have been imposed in many cities to maintain peace and order.
