The district administration of Rajasthan's Alwar district demolished a 300-year-old temple today. The Lord Shiva temple was located in the Rajgarh town. The incident has triggered a huge political controversy after videos of the temple demolition went viral on social media. BJP slammed the Ashok Gehlot led Congress government in the state. On the other hand, Congress washed its hands off the demolition claiming that the municipality of the area is being ruled by the BJP. Officials in the local administration stated that the action against encroachment was taken as per the master plan.
