Mineral Resources Minister Mosebenzi Zwane has delayed the implementation of the mining charter until after a court rules on it.
The charter requires, among other things, 50% of Black representation at board level of mining companies, of which 25% must be women, 70% procurement of mining goods from BEE companies and companies are to give 8% of their shares to their workers.
