A key factor in all of my gold finds and relic hunting has always been the research and history of those who have gone before us. After reading through an old newspaper article from 1885 with reference to a 3 and a half ounce gold nugget, which was found by the old timers in a small branch of a creek, the location quickly became the planning and preparation of my next big adventure.
