Speaker 1: Today we'll be reviewing part number SA3035. These are the Hatch Huggers from Saris for the Saris Trunk Mountain bike racks. They are going to replace the Saris Bones bike rack standard top straps for vehicles requiring a more custom. The anchor is racked by threaded through the gap between your hatchback's trunk and roof. These are made in the USA and come with a limited lifetime warranty. I did undo one of these and measured them.
We have about 74 inches of just strap not including the bumper. So, from right here all the way to the end of our strap that's rolled we have about 74 inches. That's just a little bit over six foot. In order to install these you would first need to remove the S-hook straps from the buckles that are currently on the Trunk Mountain bike rack. Then you can open your vehicle trunk or hatch and insert the end of the hatch hugger strap between the hatch and vehicle's body.
You want to make sure that there's no interference when the hatch and trunk is closed. Then you can freely close your hatch or trunk. You'll take the end of the strap and through the hatch hugger strap through the carrier buckle that are attached to your trunk mountain bike rack and you want to be sure to keep the straps in line with the rear legs. This will help prevent your carrier from shifting. Once you have all that in place you can continue mounting the carrier as instructed in your owner's manual as you are used to.
