SHASTRI PARK MURDER OF YOUNG BOY SOLVED
XYZ – a young boy aged 16 years had been stabbed to death
Case was solved within 24 hours
Two persons have been arrested
On 19.04.2023, at 10:28 am call was received that a dead body of young boy aged about 16-17 years, was found with stab wounds near 2nd Pushta.
SHO Shastri Park along with staff rushed to the spot. Dead body of a 16 year old boy r/o 2nd Pushta, Usmanpur, PS. Shastri Park was found in Khadar area, close to Pillar No. 92-93, Saharanpur Expressway, about 25 metres from the road.
The body had stab wounds on chest, left side of neck and left sideof head below the left ear. The mobile phone of the deceased was found to be missing.
Deceased was last seen by his mother at about 10:00 pm day before yesterday night (18th April), when he left home after dinner to meet some friends.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 299/23 dated 19.04.2023 u/s 302 IPC PS Shastri Park, Delhi was registered and investigation was taken up.
Investigation so far
Several teams under the supervision of Ms. Sandhya Swamy, Addl DCP-I/NE District, were constituted to work on the case. The team included 2 ACsP, 6 Inspectors and almost 50 men. The important teams were led by Insp. Vijay Kumar, SHO Shastri Park and Insp. Harish, Incharge Special Staff/NE District.
During initial investigation, it was learnt that the deceased was a child in conflict with the law. He had spent 4 months in Government Observation Home, Noida, UP and had been released on 5th March, 2023. He had reportedly been involved in a theft case in NOIDA.
The police teams concentrated on the period before he went to the Observation Home and the period after he was released in the first week of March, 2023. It was found that the teenager lived on the 3rd floor of the building in rented accommodation. Local enquiry revealed that he was close to a girl who lived on the ground floor of the same building.
The girl and one of her brothers were found missing. It was found that her brother, Sahil had been against the relationship and had had frequent attrition with the deceased on this account.
It was also learnt that while the deceased was locked up in the Observation home for four months, the girl had come close to another boy in the same locality. This boy was identified as Yamin. It was found that Yamin was also missing from his house and had not been seen since the time of the incident.
CDR analysis showed that Yamin had made a call to the deceased on the night of the incident. Thereafter, the deceased had left his house after telling his mother that he was going out to meet some friends.
The police team laid a trap and managed to apprehend Sahil and Yamin near Gate No. 2, Jama Masjid, Delhi.
The arrested persons are:

Sahil age 20 years r/o 2nd Pushta, Usmanpur, Delhi
During sustained interrogation, both broke down and admitted to have killed the teenager. The story that has emerged is given below.
The story that has emerged
The teenager and the girl lived in the same building. He lived on the third floor, while she lived with her family on the ground floor. They became good friends over the past one and a half years.
In November, 2022, the teenager was found involved in a theft case in NOIDA. He was sent to Government Observation Home, Noida, UP, where he remained till 5th March, 2023.
When the teenager came out, he found that the girl had stopped having any feelings for him. She had become close to Yamin. The teenager was enraged and began threatening Yamin and the girl. The girl’s brother, Sahil also disproved of the teenager.
Since the last several days, Yamin and Sahil had been planning to eliminate the teenager.
On 18.04.2023, at about 09:46 pm, Yamin called the teenager and suggested that they go for a walk. Sahil was also present with Yamin. They walked down from the 2nd Pushta Road. Both Yamin and Sahil went down the road towards the Khadar on the pretext of taking a leak. The teenager followed them unsuspectingly. They kept him walking between themselves.
Once in the darkness, they pounced upon him. Sahil held him down, while Yamin attacked him with a knife. The teenager sustained deep stab injuries on his neck, head and center of chest. Leaving him mortally injured, they ran away from the spot.
Further investigation
Both accused persons will be produced in Court today and will be brought on police remand. They have disclosed that they had thrown the knife near Jafrabad. The weapon of offence is to be recovered. The postmortem examination of the deceased will be conducted today afternoon. The girl is absconding. She needs to be examined in this case. Mobile phone of the deceased is to be recovered.
Further investigation in the case is in progress.
