Adding extra airports to FlightGear is a rather simple task. This video walks you through the process, as well as gives you a couple of pointers.

Extra buildings and roads from OSM2city are already included in the TerraSync system and will be downloaded automatically together with the rest of the scenery as long as you have OSM buildings/roads/etc. enabled in your rendering settings.

FlightGear is the free flight simulator under GNU GPL. It runs on Windows, Linux (Ubuntu, Red Hat...) and even Mac! It also has multiplayer support, something a lot of simulators have dropped.
