Western tanks and Ukrainian military hardware captured by Russian forces in Ukraine were on display at an exhibition that opened in Rostov-on-Don in southern Russia on Saturday (September 14).
The exhibition will stay open to the public until September 22. On the sidelines of the event, Russia's Defence Ministry has opened a recruitment office where volunteers can sign up to join the armed forces fighting in Ukraine.
"After the events in Kursk region the number of people willing to join the army has increased. It was not bad before, now it's even higher," sergeant Kirill Pakhomov, an army recruitment officer told Reuters.
Russian forces have been battling Ukrainian troops in Kursk region since Aug. 6, when Kyiv surprised Moscow with the biggest foreign attack on Russian soil since World War Two.
