Today's stage, starting at the magnificent Pont du Gard, is quite long and, with a hill just 10 Km from the finish line, doesn't really suit the sprinters. The finish actually suits riders like Alaphilippe and it could be his final chance for a stage win in this Tour de France.
However, with three really hard stages in the Alps after today, the peloton might keep a low pace and allow the breakaway to take the win in Gap.
