Zelensky waits for decision from Berlin on tanks in his video-address, but Germany insists US send its M1 Abrams tanks first.
Germany faced mounting pressure to supply tanks or at least clear the way for others to send German-made Leopard 2 tanks from their own stock. Some EU countries are ramping up their pressure to get German permission to transfer vehicles with Poland taking the lead declaring the transfer of up to 14 modern Leopard tanks.
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz earlier said on Jan 13 that he won't rush with decisions and he won't give in to the 'pressure' to supply tanks to Ukraine.
