Honored to be sharing this amazing video production with you featuring an incredible Drone view of The Aga Khan Museum, The Aga Khan Park & The Ismaili Centre Toronto.
This must see creation will have you mesmerized noting that these buildings were a culmination of years of hard work and determination by His Highness The Aga Khan.
The Ismaili Centre, Toronto is situated, together with the Aga Khan Museum, within a 6.8-hectare landscaped park, a new space for the public that showcases the work of three renowned architects. Japanese architect Fumihiko Maki designed the Aga Khan Museum, while Indian architect Charles Correa designed the Ismaili Centre. The Park, which features a formal garden, was designed by architect Vladimir Djurovic of Lebanon. The Canadian firm Moriyama & Teshima were the architects for the entire project and responsible for integrating all aspects of the project.
The Ismaili Centre includes a place of prayer (Jamatkhana) for the Shia Imami Ismaili Muslim community as well as spaces for social, educational and cultural activities. The buildings and Park represent His Highness the Aga Khan’s longstanding relationship with Canada and his appreciation for the country’s commitment to pluralism and cultural diversity.
The Ismaili Centre, Toronto was opened by Prime Minister Stephen Harper on 12 September 2014 in the presence of Mawlana Hazar Imam.
The Aga Khan Museum was open to the public on September 18, 2014 and is the first museum in the western world dedicated to Islamic art and objects.
The Aga Khan Park is a landscaped garden that covers the space between and around the Ismaili Centre and the Aga Khan Museum, located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, built by His Highness The Aga Khan IV and formally inaugurated by Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne on 25 May 2015.The park is built on traditional Persian and Mughal style of architecture.
Now to the videographer "Mahmoud Elgamal"
Born in Egypt and immigrated to Canada at a young age living in the North York area. Growing up he never really knew what the ideal career should look like, but slowly discovered a passion that he had of watching people grow. Fortunately, he found the perfect fit... with Bell Canada in the Training and Content Design field.
Little did he know the career path would uncover a passion which he had. When designing training content, one simple image can carry out more meaning than 100 words. The more he thought about that, the more he focused on how a simple image or video can make a viewer feel a certain feeling or fill in the blanks with their imagination. So he started snapping photos of something he had a passion for... sports cars.
Mahmoud says "I kept my hobby at a very amateur level, watching countless YouTube videos, reading forums, trying to always perfect my skill in this new hobby. The most I've ever shared of my hobby was with friends and fellow car enthusiasts... Or my fiance who would always support by a tag along to support me. Sadly this hobby wasn't something I could do all year round thanks to our cold winters and with life getting busy focusing on my career I gradually didn't have time to always pick it back up when the weather got warmer.
Fast forward a few years and I pick up a new hobby... After giving my brother a drone for his birthday I became obsessed with the excitement Ariel photography offered so I invested in one myself. The whole time waiting for it to be shipped, I knew exactly where and what I to record and share with everyone... The beautiful architecture of the Aga Khan Museum.
The video I produced was done in 1 take but now I faced a dilemma... I had no experience in editing videos, nowhere close to the experience I have in editing photos. So back to YouTube to learn a whole new skill, which seemed intimidating at first, but I had this new passion which reignited my old passion, and this time it needed to be shared!
A great accomplishment and on the road to being a successful photographer & videography and surely you will see him on the forefront or behind the lens of some creative work.
Mahmoud says, "If I can pass on one message to anyone seeing this, I would say, if you have a passion, don't let it stay quiet! Share it with the world, turn your passion into your own unique art form and express yourself.
Truly amazing Mahmoud and we are glad that we can showcase this amazing endeavor and we wish you and your family immense success in the future of your photography and video adventures. Thank you for letting us share this beautiful creation online.
