Support poured in from the opposition camp for Kashmiri leaders who have been placed under house arrest since midnight on Sunday. Taking to twitter Congress leader Shashi Tharoor said that the "mainstream leaders" of Kashmir were not alone. CPI (M) leader Sita Ram Yechury also expressed solidarity with the Kashmir leaders. Mehbooba Mufti, Omar Abdullah and Sajid Lone were put on house arrest on Sunday and section 144 has been imposed in Srinagar.
