Neil Oliver presents Rise of the Clans, a new documentary series by the BBC about the Scottish clan system. The first episode deals with Robert the Bruce. I want to clarify comments made about Neil Oliver, who is controversial among Scottish independence supporters. To say 'Scotland was a law unto itself' is bizarre. Because why should it not have been? Just a few years later, it was independent and indeed made its own laws. I'd be interested to know your thoughts on that.
