Thanks for watching...The Taurus PT111 Millennium G2 guide rod and spring...should I upgrade?

This was the question that I was asking myself a few weeks ago when I began reading about stock guide rod issues and failures. Several videos have also shown up on YouTube showing how the pistol locks up when the coils of the guiderod skip off the rear lip and overlap. I have not had this problem but it is one that I didn't want to run into, in the future, so I decided to upgrade to a Lakeline LLC aftermarket guide rod and spring. I feel like it is a solid purchase. Sorry to go all Nutn' fancy on this one but I do think that it is an important, vital part of the firearm that if you can upgrade, you simply should. For around $40 delivered, with replacement springs only running $7, there is no reason not to.
