This is a Mahalaxmi special recipe of Sindhi Meethi Tikki / Chothe / Pakwan. People also make this for Thadri festival. These are very crispy and delicious having long shelf life.
Ingredients
1. All-Purpose Flour (maida) 1/2 kg ( 500 gm )
2. Semolina (Rava) 125 gm
3. Sugar 200 gm
4. Oil 1/2 cup and oil for frying
5. Cardamom Powder 1/2 - 1 teaspoon
6. Pistachio flakes
7. Almond flakes
8. Powdered Sugar
9. Ghee
Method
1. Dissolve sugar in about half a cup of water by heating it.
2. Let this solution cool down.
3. Take a bowl and put all-purpose flour in it and mix semolina with it.
4. Add half cup of oil (120 ml) gradually and mix well.
5. Add cardamom powder and mix well.
6. Now knead it with the sugar solution which we prepared earlier.
7. Do not knead the too tight dough if necessary use little more water to knead the dough.
8. Now divide the dough into 3 equal parts.
9. Now roll each part into a thick chapati and cut it into the desired shape as shown in the video.
9. Deep fry these tikkis /chothas/ pakwans fitst on high flame and then on medium and low flame till golden color.
Very crispy delicious Tikkis / Chothas / Pakwans are ready to enjoy.
