Waste baler for Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) MAC 112 is the largest version of the Macpresse "L" series models, designed to compact: MSW, RDF and all recyclable materials. After the baling process, waste bales are wrapped with plastic film and transported by rail from the Amsa trasfer station in Milan (population: about 1,2 million; MSW production: 1.900 tons a day) to an incinerator set in the north of Germany: no risk of land contamination and bad-smelling liquid formation. Amsa transfer station average daily rate of MWS received and baled is 600 – 900 tons a day.
MAC 112 is ideal for transfer stations and landfills, as it:
✔ reduces transport and energy costs
✔ reduces landfill volume and extends landfill life
✔ reduces wind-borne litter and top cover requirement
MAC 112 technical features:
- ideal bale size: W 1100 X H1100 cm - 43" x 43" to optimize land, sea and rail transport
- MSW production: 48 - 54 ton/h
- number of wires: 5, 4, 3, variable
