Monday 14/6/2021:
Episode 201 vlog takes me up to day 365 of my year long adventure ride around Australia! YAY! One year and 39,577kms of the most amazing adventure EVER! 😁👍🏁⛺️🏍💨

It’s also Grant Franklin’s double vintage birthday! Happy 50th buddy! Woooo hooooo! 😂👍🎂🍻🎉

And to round off the trifecta…it’s Race Day No.2 of the Finke Desert Race! 😁👍🏁🏍🏍🏍🏍🏍

Angela, Grant & I leave camp on our bikes and head to our trackside spot just 20kms out of town.

Again…we hear Toby approaching on full noise well before we see him! Yeeee haaaa he’s in the lead again! Winner winner chicken dinner!

The morning’s excitement continued until around mid to late morning when no more cars come through. Grant got a text from a mate Anthony who was a bike competitor, telling us about the bad news. A spectator was killed & a couple injured just 5kms down the road from where we were.

That was a tragic end to our Finke Desert Race experience as the event organizers called the race off! All over red rover!

Determined to end what was an awesome day on a positive note, we celebrated Grants 50th and my 1 year adventure anniversary with fabulous Thai food and big hugs all round!
