Whenever I felt sad, stressed, or just bored, I would browse online stores, hoping that buying something new would fill the void I felt inside. It gave me a temporary satisfaction. But soon the excitement faded and I was left with the same emptiness. Plus a growing pile of stuff I didn’t need.
Whenever I felt happy, excited, or successful, I would browse online stores, because I thought I needed to reward myself. Each new purchase felt like a little celebration of my achievements. But over time, these rewards started to lose their luster, and the excitement faded as well.
