The Taal lake is located in Philippines, 50 kilometres south of Manila. Once, it was considered the largest crater lake on earth, although it turns out that Lake Toba in Indonesia is larger.
Currently, it is famous for its' smallest active volcano in the world, located at the island at the lake.
