Celerina in the Engadin, Grisons, Switzerland celebrated on 9/27/2013 the descent of the cows from the Alpine meadows where they had spent the summer. This yearly festivity starts with the decoration of the cows for a parade through the town, culminating with folk music, dances and folklore displays. This and the companion video presents the "s-cheleders la margna" group of "Trychler" or in English Cow Bell Ringers.
The bells are much larger than the actual cow bells used on the animals so they do not get lost. The neck bands display very ornate embroidery of flowers and the coat of arms of the Grisons region.
