This decadent looking star bread is loaded with nutella & is super easy to make. This eggless treat is a must try this Christmas season!
Ingredients:
For Yeast Activation:
1 cup lukewarm milk
1 tbsp instant dry yeast
1 tbsp sugar
For Bread Dough:
3 cups All Purpose Flour
Pinch of Salt
Activated Yeast
½ cup Unsalted Butter, melted
1 tbsp Powdered Sugar
6 tbsp Nutella
Method:
Take a bowl add lukewarm milk, dry yeast, powdered sugar & mix well. Keep it aside for around 5-10 mins for the yeast to activate.
After yeast gets activated, add all-purpose flour, pinch of salt to the yeast mixture and mix all the ingredients till a soft dough is formed.
Now keep this dough aside for an hour to proof.
Once the dough is proofed, the dough would be raised to double its original size, divide it into four equal parts, roll each part like chapati not making it very thin.
Take a parchement paper & place a chapati on it. add nutella on top & spread it evenly to cover the upper layer. Now place the second chapati on it and repeat the process.
Once the layers are formed seal the edges gently with finger tips.
Now make the center with the help of a glass & divide it into equal 16 parts as shown.
Take two parts, and twist it twice inwards and seal it from corners (as seen in the video). Repeat the same for remaining parts.
Brush some milk on the top of the bread and bake in the preheated oven @180 C for around 18-20 mins.
Once its baked, brush some butter on it for glaze and enjoy.
