Well defined 5.90 CTS 6-ray star Ruby cabochon originating from Africa. This measures approximately 10.3 x 7.9 x 5.9 mm and is cut into an oval shape.

This gem has a beautifully formed 6-ray star caused by asterism. This phenomenon causes a moving star of light to travel across the surface of the stone when exposed to a light source, either artificial or sunlight.

The coloring is a deep reddish pink and has been polished to a high sheen. The gem is in very good condition with no notable damage or chips but does have natural inclusions and variations as shown in pictures.
