B1.1.529 or the omicron variant was first reported from South Africa samples. Although omicron multiplies nearly 70 times faster than the Delta variant in our bodies it is less sever than previous variants of concern.
The XE omicron variant has recently discovered in UK samples and WHO recently announced that the XE omicron variant is even more transmissible and infectious than the BA.2 omicron subvariant !!!
