This video shows how to perform an unpivot in Excel 2013. It use the Power Query capability. You can think of the unpivot feature as a reverse pivot in Excel. There are two examples shown here - example 1 show how to perform the unpivot with one row that has the header field data and example 2 show two rows (nested or subcategorized data) that are being used as header fields.
