Actually i have seen so many websites that LCD interface with MSP430 launch pad require a voltage converter between them because LCD operates at 5V and MSP430 at 3.3 volts. But its not true, MSP430 Voltage levels are sufficient to work with regular 16x2 LCD (Except for read operation). In this video i display a string on 16x2 LCD using MSP430 launch pad with simple connections.
