Sesame Crispy Cookies
Delicious and very quick to prepare cookies!
Ingredients:
- 160g sesame seeds,
- 60g unsalted butter,
- 120g sugar,
- 70g wheat flour,
- 1 egg,
- 2 tsp lemon juice,
- 1 tsp baking powder (not heaped),
- A pinch of salt.
Recipe:
1. Mix the softened butter with sugar.
2. Add the egg and mix.
3. Squeeze in the lemon juice and mix.
4. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, salt, and baking powder, then sift into the cookie mixture. Stir well.
5. Add sesame seeds and mix until uniform.
6. Line a baking tray with parchment paper and drop the dough by the teaspoon. ❗️ Leave a large space (~4-5cm) between each dollop of dough, as the cookies spread a lot during baking. You can fit 8-9 dollops of dough on a standard baking tray.
7. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (356°F) for ~15 minutes until golden. Keep an eye on the cookies to prevent burning.
8. Remove the baked cookies, peel off the parchment from the tray, and let cool. The cookies will become crispy as they cool.
