One of the most important films of the '80s. Warren Beatty's epic is a tale of John Reed, the American journalist swept up in the Russian Revolution who would soon write the seminal book, TEN DAYS THAT SHOOK THE WORLD. Miraculously, REDS manages to succeed as both a modern love story and an intelligent political history. Though written, produced and directed by Beatty, Diane Keaton's portrait of Louise Bryant is the emotional core of the film.
