We'll continue displaying tonal values of the portrait in profile in this video. In our painting, the frontal plane of the forehead is not shown by a single shape, but it has some depth. The vertical line of the brow represents this depth. There is a gradient of tonal values on the prominence of the forehead. It's a wonderful idea to display this to show how three-dimensional it is. This tone may be filled by drawing a red chalk across the surface and then smearing the chalk particles with a piece of cloth. The tone of the darker plane of the forehead differs from the side plane. We no longer need a towel to spread red chalk because we require darker lines; instead, we may wipe away extra dust. Avoid the amateur mistake of drawing separate eyelashes. Instead, you may emulate the Old Masters, who used darker lines to create a uniform mass of eyelashes. The upper eyelid is always somewhat larger than the lower. Even though these muscles are quite thin, it is vital to indicate the thickness of the eyelids. The thickness of the top eyelid, for example, is just approximately three millimetres, but sketching it helps it appear more natural. When light is coming from above, the lower eyelid is always darker than the upper one. Because the lower eyelid is usually wet and reflects light, you should lighten the edge.
