Not only did Carlisle host the Settle & Carlisle Fellsman hauled by an engine that we weren't expecting - but there was also an official locomotive naming ceremony to capture. The day was soon marred however by a problem with the overhead lines - a tree branch dangerously close to the live wires reported to be somewhere between Gretna Junction and Lockerbie, bringing all north bound services to a halt. To add to the problems there was a bridge strike later in the day - location unknown.
If you want to know which loco was named - or the name it received - you'll have to watch the video!
