In this video I unbox my first ever American Platinum Eagle Coin Purchase! I have been buying silver and gold for years, but only recently started buying platinum. I decided to purchase a 1 oz American Platinum Eagle because it had the lowest premium of all american platinum eagle coins. The BU American Platinum Eagles all have the same reverse every year, but the proof American Platinum Eagle Coins change reverse designs every year making them the only US Mint Bullion coin that changes designs. The American Platinum Eagle was first minted in 1997 which is much later than the platinum maples and platinum koalas which were minted in 1988. American Platinum vs gold is a good topic to get into which I will be doing in a later video. The 2020 american platinum eagle that I picked up was cheaper than the random date platinum american eagles for sale. This is the second platinum bullion coin that I have purchased, and I know that it wont be the last.
