The Roland Fr-4x User Program includes seven (7) Banks, each with 14 Registers for a total of ninety-eight (98) separate Registers.
One of the parameters able to be edited in each of the 98 separate registers is the MIDI Octave (-3 to +3) that can be sent to an external device such as a Ketron Arranger. This MIDI send Octave edit is separate from the Octave edit of the Accordion or Orchestra voices on the Roland itself.
One way to ensure the MIDI Octave message signal is consistent throughout the 14 Registers of a particular Bank is as follows:
Step: 1. first turn the volume of the Roland V-accordion to zero and while
Step: 2 playing the same note on the treble, e.g., the Middle C (C4) for each of the 14 Registers of a particular Bank playing a voice, e.g., Grand Piano on an external device such as the Ketron arranger.
Step: 3 Where the octave is inconsistent with the others, it can be edited in the Editor Software of the Roland.
This information can be important when using an external arranger controlled by the Roland digital accordion.
