Here is a funny little song by the great Jake Thackray. As with all of Jake's songs it is idiosyncratically English and references much of life in 70's Britain. Some things might be confusing to those who were not in the UK in the 70's.

Antirrhinums are plants (snapdragons)
Cleaning saucepans and teapots with Brasso (metal polish) would taint any food or tea for a long time afterwards.
Chippendale is valuable 18th Century furniture.
British children are often told to stay away from swans because "they can break your arm with the beat of their wings" That's probably not true.
"my bird" just means girlfriend and is rarely used today.
Jump suit... a sort of unisex garment.
Turkish Moussaka... an excitingly popular dish in 70's Britain believe it or not.
