In 2020, PIOW hosted two panels addressing the intersections between LGBTQ+ equality and racial justice. In recognition of Black History Month, we invite you to revisit these conversations with us to acknowledge the historical contexts that prompt the need for DEI work and the biases that further perpetuate present-day acts of racism, brutality, and societal injustice.
This video features Gary Bailey, Professor of Practice at Simmons College, and Jonathan Allen, Co-Founder and Director of Philanthropy and Partnerships at Leadership Brainery. We would like to thank our panelists for sharing their perspectives and lived experiences as we find ways to advocate for more just and equitable spaces.
