Each May, the Hop gathers together its community to honor and present awards to Dartmouth undergraduates who have excelled in the arts—delighting us during their four years with great musical, theater and dance performances and marvelous film and video.

We're convening digitally this year on the Hop's YouTube channel which means you can join us, whether you're down the street from the Hop, or halfway around the globe! You can connect in real time with fellow viewers via live chat.

We are honored to welcome award-winning writer, director, producer and all-around creator Tracey Deer '00 as this year's Arts Awards guest speaker. As an Indigenous woman in the film and television industry, Tracey works to bridge the gap between the native and non-native worlds. Her first feature film, Beans, debuted at the 2020 Toronto International Film Festival, earning her the TIFF Emerging Talent Award. She is a writer on the hit Netflix/CBC series Anne with an E and was the creator/showrunner of the hit Omni Television/APTN comedy series Mohawk Girls, which she described as "Sex in the City for the Native set." A seasoned speaker and leader, Tracey champions female empowerment and diversity in the industry and is passionate about inspiring the next generation.

These are challenging times, made still more difficult by the fact that we can't gather for the live performances and film screenings that help us build hope and community. Dartmouth's student artists have reimagined new ways to continue participating in recitals, ensemble concerts, student theatrical productions, dance performances and more. Please join us to show these students our appreciation.
