🤕PAROTITIS: Rock-hard cheek swelling & pain. This is an inflammation of the Parotid glad (gland that makes saliva located on the side of the face).
💧a common reason for this is dehydration. Salts in the saliva settle and block the duct that delivers saliva to your mouth from the parotid gland.
🦠 other reasons are viruses (like mumps) or autoimmune diseases (like Sjogrens)
💊 treatments include aggressive hydration, sour foods, massage, ibuprofen, and sometimes antibiotics
