This is the eighth of nine videos in the TI Precision Labs – Op Amps
curriculum that addresses operational amplifier noise. In the previous
training videos we introduced methods for calculating, simulating, and
measuring noise. In this video we will dive a little deeper into the topic
of 1/f, or flicker, noise. Specifically, we will discuss the 0.1Hz to 10Hz
noise plots that are included in most op amp data sheets. We will cover how
these plots are generated and explain their significance, and we’ll also
discuss the differences between long-term noise measurements in standard
amplifiers compared to zero-drift amplifiers.
