In this video we document all the steps needed to install an NB engine (BP4W) into an NA miata (1994-1997). Below is a complete parts list, it's not a difficult swap to perform but it does require knowing exactly which parts you need from each engine and a couple simple modifications. Check list for NB to NA 1.8 engine swap
- NB Parts Needed
o Motor mounts (passenger side, driver is the same for all 1.8)
o Intake manifold
o Crank Pulley
o Fuel rail (99-00) required for any NB engine
o Fuel feed line with quick connects
o Injectors
o Lower Radiator Hose
- NA Parts to Re-Use
o Throttle body w/all NA sensors
o Cam sensor
o Injector harness
o Exhaust manifold
o Alternator
o Fuel pressure regulator (install onto NB fuel rail and run custom return line)
o Coolant Temp sensors (both for the gauge and ECU)
o Power steering pump
o Oil pressure sensor (1994 only) 95+ is same as NB
o Upper Radiator Hose
