This version of CHICKEN STEAK is not the typical one that we often serve. One way to level up the dish is to add spices and cream to bring out new flavors. One of the best options to serve on your special occasion since pork and beef is very expensive nowadays. Hope you can try this and let me know in the comment section.
Here's what you need:
1 kilo chicken
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp ground black pepper
6 pieces calamansi
1/2 cup soy sauce
1 can 370ml all-purpose creamer
1 large white onion
1 can 115 grams mushroom
add more paprika
add ground black pepper
cayenne, optional
1 tbsp brown or white sugar
fish sauce to taste, adjust accordingly
cooking oil for frying
NOTES:
📝 Marinate the chicken for 30 minutes to 1 hour
📝 Searing the meat creates greater browning that makes it flavorful.
📝 Turn the heat to low flame once you added the all-purpose creamer so it won't curdle.
📝 This serves 6-8 persons
