I'm still putting this new set of bellows to the test after building them. They have quite an extension with 7 folds and deep valleys. Although the original bellows were in good condition and had been rebound, I decided to build a custom set with deeper folds and individual cards. Sir Charles Wheatstone invented the English concertina and employed Louis Lachenal to design the equipment for their manufacture and manage production. Shortly thereafter, Lachenal struck out on his own and formed his own business building concertinas.
