Back in August, I quit my job to take a mini-retirement. Even though I knew doing this would add more time to my Financial Independence journey, I decided to do it anyway.
No work meant I would have zero income during that time which could be a problem. Luckily I had some extra cash sitting around that could be used to live off of while I wasn't earning any income. Leading up to the date I did my best to try to plan for how much money I was going to need every single money. I went line by line to make sure all of my spending was planned out for each month. Just to be safe I added an additional 20% to my overall expenses to account for those random things that popped up.
In this video, I'll walk you through how much I spend every month while earning $0 income. I'll also go through the different spending categories I have as well as if I've been able to stay under budget or if I've spent more than I originally planned.

Disclaimer: This video is for entertainment purposes only. Everyone's situation is different so do your own research before making any decisions with your money. If you need help then contact a Certified Financial Fiduciary before trying anything that is mentioned in this video. I prefer a Fiduciary financial advisor that charges an hourly fee as opposed to an ongoing fee based on a % of your portfolio. Always remember that incentives determine the type of advice they give you so one that charges an hourly fee is less likely to be problematic.
