If you upgrade to the version below remote ID came along.
Avata firmware: v01.02.00.00 (version that included Remote ID requirement)
Remote Controller firmware: v02:00.04.00
Goggles 2 firmware: v01.03.00.00
Prior to flying the Avata I updated the Goggles 2 and FPV Controller version to the following:
Goggles 2 firmware: v01.03.00.00
FPV Controller 2: v02:00:0500
Remote ID is here to stay so try the solution in this video.
